Demonstration made by British company on the

21st instant south of frontier in aid of civil

authorities during negotiations with strike

pickets after a police patrol had been seized on

the 20th. The captured men were returned on demand

so no action was taken.

Am I permitted to assist the Governor by

employing troops outside the colony should he request

me to do so.
